Tropical summer, painting and cherry picking

Today, it was the third and final day for painting all the outside windows, doors and garage ports. The need for a bit of paint was high and the house looks much better after cleaning and painting with Herbol nuttree paint. All is open now for the paint to dry, but by evening time the windows and doors will be closed to prevent the mosquitos from entering the sleeping department.
A little time was found for picking the remaining cherries in the garden. The birds were all around the tree despite precautions with a random ringing door bell and a radio in the tree. Furthermore there was a scare crow and two ladders. So, picking before the birds was the only option. A second bucket was filled and the cherrystones were removed, cherry after cherry. I felt like a monk. More than three kilograms will be froozen in small fractions for use with ice cream and jam. The summer has hardly begun and we are already preparing for the winter time: old-fashioned people here?
